About Borlands Deli

Borlands Delicatessen Ltd was conceived over a cup of coffee as are most good ideas. Lyndsey Phillips and Dawn Borland wanted to follow a dream and start their own business. Dawns' strengths are in retailing, customer service, merchandising and smiling all the time!! Lyns on the other hand loves figures and has a Sales and Marketing background as well as being a qualified food technologist.......and of course, both are great cooks, organisers and generally mad.

The business has developed over the last two years providing the local people and businesses with a supply of fantastic baguettes and sandwiches for lunch, a local supply of quality fine food and wines as well as all year round Hampers, Gifts and Luxury items.

In January 08 we decided to develop stage 2 of the business and looked to extending our premises and offerings. We decided to change our name as nearly all our customers call us "The Deli" or "The Deli on the Corner" so here we are now as "Deli on the Corner" and we think it suits us well!! The name Borlands had been chosen as it was an old name in the area and we felt it gave the deli an established feel - now we are established we feel we are listening to our customer needs more and more.
